The 1925 City Directory lists Katherine McLaughlin, a clerk; Elizabeth O'Brien, the widow of Peter O'Brien; and Stephen O'Brien, an electrician, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows P. O'Brien as the owner of this house. The 1930 Census lists Elizabeth O'Brien, a 54-year old widow from Ireland, as the owner of this house. Elizabeth lived with her 34-year old son Stephen, an electrician, and three boarders: 21-year old Patrick Manning, a draftsman for a mail order house; Catherine McLaughlin, a 30-year old telephone operator for a brokerage office; and Helen Stewart, a 28-year old hairdresser. The building was valued at $8,000. |
