This multi-family house was built in 1910 and rises three stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 1995. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows H.T. Lawson as the owner of this house. The 1924 City Directory lists George Quint as a resident of this house. The 1925 City Directory lists Alice Costello; Francis Hennessey, a salesman; Mary Hennessey, the widow of Andrew Hennessey; Lewis Power, a credit manager; George Quint; and Arthur Sullivan, a meatcutter, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows A.J. and F.J. Sullivan as the owners of this house. The 1930 Census lists Arthur Sullivan, a 36-year old from Canada who worked as a foreman in a meat store as the owner of this house. Arthur lived with his 36-year old wife Frances and their 11-year old son Leo. Part of this house was rented for $30 a month by 48-year old Alice Costello. Alice lived with her 20-year old daughter Evelyn and her 69-year old mother Mary Hennessey. Another part of this house was rented for $50 a month by James Shaughnessy, a 40-year old station manager for a railroad. James lived with his 15-year old son James Jr. The building was valued at $12,000. |
