This brick multi-family house was built in 1925 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. The 1925 City Directory lists George Lagoutte, a master mariner, as a resident of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Eva Lagoutte as the owner of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by George Lagoutte, a 53-year old master mariner from France. George lived with his 53-year old wife Eva (born in Maine); and Elizabeth Hudson, a 45-year old roomer. Part of this house was rented for $50 a month by Alice Caron, a 46-year old public school teacher. Alice lived with her 17-year old daughter Grace; 87-year old father-in-law Henry (born in French Canada); and 47-year old sister Mary O'Hara, a public school teacher. The building was valued at $10,000. |
